Friday's [Featured] Artisan

I have always had a fascination and love for the world of arts & crafts. When I was a child I would be at my happiest when I was painting by numbers or sewing clothes for my dolls. As I grew up, loving all things creative and handmade, I also came to the realization that I, myself , wasn't actually very good at the making of the things! In fact, I attempted studying textiles, art, photography, you name it, I tried it, and though my report cards were sparkling reviews of enthusiasm, my ability or should I say talent, stayed with the five year old me, flourishing in the creativity of finger paints and glitter. Of course, that hasn't stopped me making things, artwork, sewing, jewelry, and many more 'individual ' creations, but it has lead me down a path of intrigue around people's natural talents for creating handmade products of actual sell-able quality. I love researching artisans and encouraging everybody to think about what they are buying and where their money is going, highlighting the importance of supporting these amazingly talented and creative human beings around the world.

So watch this space, as each Friday I bring you a new artisan to discover and new handmade treasures to find.
